Slender tendons snapped, bringing the arrival of a stag clothed in soft moonlight. His small, convex crania tilted as his large nares drank the breeze. Several others where here, some mare. Nostrils widened. Mares. He would take any that is, if any would have him. Start his own herd? Perhaps, but not yet. He wished to secure a position in a herd. His beautiful dreamer fell to the earth, long lead locks clouding his vision. He would wait.
