Dawn teased the grassy plains of the meadows, dancing a light-hearted tango over trees and lush vegetation as it lit up the day. Elvia casually wandered into the solemn domain of the wild horses, savoring the feeling of being alone in the tranquil area. Alone, that is, if one ignored the entourage of at least five burly soldiers trooping along in her awake -- and ignore them was indeed what she most prefered to do.

She also prefered to ignore any of the surly advice coming from one heir to the Llyadoren throne who seemed to believe that she should be content with the ragged old gelding whom she had ridden ever since she had first sat astride any horse at all. Not that she did not adore the aging chestnut, she was rather attached to the beast, but it was beyond time the poor bugger was released from his duty as the princess' mount.

Practical leather boots squelched through the damp terrian, causing Elvia to wrinkle her nose slightly and be eternally thankful that it would not be she in charge of the day's laundry.

In the distance a flash of copper, nearly the hue of the rising sun, caught her attention.
