Give him some scritches for me. Yes he would love the platform perch!!! All of mine LOVE them. You could put cloth on the wire platform perch as well to make the surface more flat. Someone on another board had the great idea of cutting the sleves out of old T-shirts and putting them on the platform perches. Because the jersey material is stretcy it would give a nice, tight fit.

If you don't want to make a wooden platform perch, you could buy one of these... They were made for hamsters etc. But they are perfect for our birds and attach easily to the cage. I got it on sale for $2.95 at the pet store once. They normally run around $7
