You may never

This is a very true statement, Jessica. You are right about them needing socializing early on. They are better off that way. Rustika had it and was just a wonderful girl. As soon as she saw me, she was ready to be held with her foot up in the air before I got the cage door open and gave me kisses. A lot of different people held her in the nursery which was a big plus. She goes to everyone without fear. Also Timneh's are more out going than Congo's. I've heard that the timneh's handle stress better. I've heard more good things about Timneh's than the Congo's when I did my search. The reason I got a Congo was because she was out going and loves people without that fear. She's so laid back here, even with all the motion of these wild conures.
KC,
Which type grey are thinking of getting? Congo? Or Timneh?
I paid $900.00 for Rustika. They usually sell for $1200.00. I hope your able to get a grey. They are wonderful birds. I love listening to Rustika make noises and she says a few words. Yesterday she was mumbling something long that I couldn't make out completely. It was under her breath sort of. I'm sure when she learns to talk she will have a lot to say. Right now I'm teachering her to say, "you have the right to remain silent!" I'm hoping she will use those words when the conures get too loud so she can control them for me.
