I have this weird hunch that Thanksgiving/Christmas season isn’t going to be as bad as everyone seems to think it’s going to be. I suspect a lot of people are sick and tired of being on edge 24/7, and they’ll want to reconnect with the traditions that have given them comfort in the past. I for one am looking forward to tomorrow, even though – as it so happens this year – I’ve got no place to go. I don’t care. If I can’t spend time with family and friends, I’ll spend it with strangers. Long as they’re all in a turkey-eating, Thanksgiving mood, what the hell.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Sporty. We still live in the greatest country on earth, regardless of what the idiots in Washington are trying to do. It’s time for everyone to take a collective step back and appreciate our good fortune.
