Subject: I only heard of these type of things in big cities...

One of the elementary schools here had a 7 year old child turned over to juvenile authorities for having a bag of marijuana in his desk...then at the same school, (I dont know if it was the same day, but definitely within the same week), a 10 year old was caught with a joint at school. I'm sorry, but the scares the crap out of me. I have a 7 year old, I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old. I am terrified about the school systems anymore. I didnt go to a public school, I was a private school girl...(catholic at that, and no, I'm not catholic). I'm not used to all that kind of thing going on. Lastnight, my husband and I chaperoned our 7th graders first middle school dance. I mean, oh my God! The look of some of those girls, and the grades were only 7th and 8th grade, they looked like they were 17-18 years old! The things they allowed them to wear, and the way they danced!!!! The dancing of some of those girls looked like what you see on rap videos on mtv. I am so upset about the whole thing.
