It is a license you have to get to be an insurance producer. Which means you can sell insurance. The company my husband works for, specializes in senior citizens and life insurance, also annuities. But having a producers license means I could go work for anyone I wanted. Its the same license for any company once you have it. It doesnt just go over life insurance and annuities, but everything, which is why it is so freakin hard! Half the stuff I wouldnt use if I went to work for who husband is, but you still have to know it to get the license...sigh
