I do a similar thing for my boys. Individual gifts and shared gift. This year they all got iPods and a refurbished Nintendo GameCube with 3 games. We looked at the Wii system, it will play GameCube games and can download original Nintendo ROMs, but we decided to hold off until the prices come down. I find the Nintendo systems more Family friendly. My boys have learned to pool their resources to buy themselves a PS2 and Xbox. I hoping they'll buy their own PS3.
