Here is what I understand so far....my thumb bone was broke 3 times...2 of the broken bones pertruded out my finger...one thru my fingernail, pushing my fingernail off and up, the other thru my skin below my cuticle. I dont know what they did, but they put the bones back together. They couldnt splint it because first it was swollen about 20 times if not more, its normal size, and also it was cut deep, bled for almost 4 hours before I was forced to go to the hospital...(yeah, wasnt gonna go, stupid me)..They also said the layer where your nail grows on top of wasnt damaged, but if it closed up, I wouldnt be able to grow my nail back...so they took my fingernail that came off, and laid it back on top where it came from, to use it as a splint to keep the nail bed from growing over or something, and then wrapped it many times after stitching it alot. So I dont know if they are going to take the nail off tomorrow, or what....my finger wont fall off or have to be cut off.....right?
