Even though your board wasnt advertising another board, or selling anything, it was still considered advertising something thru a website. I'm not saying that is bad, but you have people that would end up posting something that was doing those things, and their excuse would be...well, you let one person advertise something that wasnt a news article, or joke page, or whatever, why can't I post this? And that would just cause way too much confusion, and alot of people would not, or let me rephrase, would refuse to understand the difference in the posts, just to cause trouble. That is what some people do on message boards, I think we all call them trolls. I'm sure you've ran in to some before. It's just easier to exclude any posting of websites, unless it is in reference to your post, and is a news article, joke page, picture of something you're posting about, things like that. I hope you understand? It's just really hard trying to get everyone to understand, and some people would really take advantage of it.
