Tonight, Meera Syal will present Karma Lives for BBC1 at night, a snapshot of contemporary Hindu life in Britain, as seen through the eyes of four distinctive and very different characters.

It follow Om Prakash Sharma, married at fifteen to a woman he had yet to meet; 15 year old Mithila Shirma who loves shopping and spends hours every week practising the ancient art of Veena; Niraj and his wife Nagavathy are committed activists for Hindu Human Rights; Suresh Memon is an Ayurvedic Healer and Harley Street cancer nurse by day and a party animal by night.
