Hi tony, I have a pair of the normal blue diamond and a single blue whitetail, It seems as though the female blue prefers the company of the whitetail male, so the normal blue is just an extra that I bought because there were only three at the petstore and I couldnt bear to leave him all alone.
They are just average and nothing spectacular though.
I have been hoping to hear that your guy comes through before I pay out my nose for them, ......but I am purchasing a pair of rare reds from singing wings aviary anyway, just to have unrelated birds to pair off with if your guy happens to come through.
I am just trying to get the whole shipping issue figured out BEFORE i end up overrun with doves ;0)
I only got the doves that i have now a few weeks ago, and although there was a broken egg at the bottom of the cage at the petstore where i bought them, they have not produced anything for me yet...I am currently trying to get them into breeding condition before I try to get them to start laying.
I will be getting the rare reds next week and then start conditioning them for breeding as well, If you dont mind waiting , I would be more than happy to let you have your pick of any babies i get :)
If you hear from your friend in the meantime though , I am still very interested in his birds as well.
I absolutely LOVE the diamonds and since purchasing my little trio I have decied that I wont rest untill I have every mutation , they are such enjoyable and friendly little birds :) :) :)
please let me know if you hear from you friend..
I would like a few of each mutation he has :)
~nicole
