Subject: How's everyone's December starting...

So how is December starting out for everyone. I managed to get a gorgeous pair of Snowy Call Ducks that were hand picked for me in Minnesota and then hand driven out here by someone close by who attended the Iowa City Poultry Show in Iowa......the ducks are BEAUTIFUL. They got out into their new hutch for now, won't get a pen until a bit later as I want them to get fattened up and get used to being here and also make sure they are protected.
I'm very excited about the possibilities for Spring!!
I also got a beautiful Blue Muscovy Drake, he rode along from Minnestoa and was handed off in Iowa City as well. My duck took to him right away when he went into her pen, she just pushed him around and flared up. I know she was happy to have someone of her own kind out there with her. She also laid really well this year, so Spring should bring about a ton of perfect blue and silver Muscovy ducklings.

Anyone else have any new additions or any babies happening? My Zebra Finches are actually breeding continually. I was down to my orginal pair.....they had 2 chicks, they have a next of a couple chicks that just hatched are at only about a day or two old. I added two more pairs as a friend of mine had some beautiful Silvers. So I have a pair of Silvers and a pair of Whites now in the Zebra Finches. Here's hoping 2008 will be much better!!

It’s Never A Dull Moment!
