Subject: Jaimie, the Seramas, and Missouri...

Well Jaimie, the Serama hen decided to sit on her own eggs! Way back I thought she might be one that would go broody....so when I finally got her into a cage with her rooster all by themselves.....I left them long enough to know that babies would be pure and not crossed with the overly agressive Silkie roosters I had. My friend, Mary, brought her Silkie hen over to visit with my Blue rooster.....then hers laid some eggs and sat...and she threw a couple Serama eggs under the Silkie hen too...then I left the Serama with a brand new nest box and let her build a pile of eggs....tonight for the first time, she was sitting! Keep your fingers crossed.

AND, where in Missouri are you.....anywhere near Springfield? My friend Terry and her husband live in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and she told me that if I went out that way to look at farms and land....she told me to fly into Springfield Missouri....so thought I'd ask.
