Subject: Fresno, CA Poultry Show...

I went to the Poultry Show in Fresno yesterday, it was AWESOME! I won an excellent pair of show quality Dark Cornish Bantams, beautiful birds....I just LOVE them. I managed to also sell 7 Jersey Giants, and also get a Standard Dark Cornish rooster.....gotta find him some hens. He is one beautiful bird, he's living in an X-Pen right now on my patio.....god help me....but he's so impressive. If you have never seen the Cornish breed up close and held one, standard or bantam....try and find someone with them and pick one of them up....you'll just fall in love with them. They call them the 'bulldogs' of the poultry world....and they do look like it.

Also, two new additions to my little farm.....I got two piggies and no that is NOT what the nickname is for each side of my belly :) Last weekend I bought pin panels to make a pig pen which I was going to use for something else until the day came when I could get pigs and raise them....well the day came the next day after buying the panels. Panels got delivered on Tuesday morning and then a fellow train commuter said she was driving through my town and noticed some neighbors of mine had piglets for sale really really cheap....BEAUTIFUL piggies too.....called and some were still left.....so two came home with me Tuesday evening.....this farm life is so great.

So how is everyone doing, what's new and exiting?
Cindy, how's your new little family member doing?
