You got it Bonnie! I will be sure to offer them up for you.
In fact, as I get to know any of the other Emu people, especially the ones down here in San Diego....I will see if I can score a few of their 'old' eggs that they are going to toss.....then get them out to you.
I have two Ostrich eggs that are blown out and 1 Emu egg that a guy from San Diego gave me a handful of years ago and I saved it. He said I could try and hatch it, but I didn't. I also didn't drill it and blow the contents out so now it is dried inside, BUT I know what happens to chicken or duck eggs that sit like that......they POP with a huge firecracker type popping noise.....god forbid this thing pops, it will hurt. I've had thoughts of tossing it as high as I can and let it crash down in the cement waterway/ditch behind my property line and see if it actually does the little explosion of a rotted out egg or if it just shatters. I think I will wait until I have Emu laying and then I know I can sacrafice that one :)

It’s Never A Dull Moment!
