Yeah, we won't even start on the HOA thing. Let's just say I keep my bunny numbers a lot lower that I'd like and I keep them "well hidden" from neighbors! LOL

I know this sounds weird maybe, but I think the white silkies look softer. I think that's what appeals to me the most about the whites ... they just look so cottony. You really have to get us some pics of them.

So what's the deal with the splashed varieties? I'm not up on my chicken genetics. Is it merely crossing whites with colors, or more involved than that?

What are your quail varieties like now? Are you still doing the top knot variety? Was it Valleys maybe? I still want some of those! Maybe next summer I'll get more time to work in my yard and really focus on trying to do a nice outdoor aviary. Something about being huge pregnant and 100 degrees kept me inside all summer this year. I feel like neglected the yard, the plumies, and the potential aviary plans. Even now I really would love to have more birds since we are - believe it or not! - down to the lone Parakeet! However, with a baby on the way, I think I have my hands full for a little while! (Let's just hope they re-scheduled my c-section for next week or the week after ... I am going insane!)

As soon as I recover from my surgery and get Sawyer onto a schedule, I hope to get another bator and hatch something. I'll be beggin' for eggs soon! LOL
