When it rains, it pours....now a guy who I contacted a LONG time ago has FINALLY gotten back to me. He was VERY sketchy on how I got his name, who referred me....after the twenty questions, then it was: I don't know that person how does he know me, how did he have my info...HELLO, I don't freakin know, he's from the FBI maybe.....NOT, I tried nicely and patiently (not my best two virtues) to explain that I randomly contacted someone from the American Ostrich Breeders Association and American Emu Association and this guy was the ONLY one who answered and referred me to YOU, I don't know him, don't know you....just trying to somehow get into raising these big birds.
This was MONTHS ago, must be a vibe in the air and the fact that I know have secured the fact that I will be getting 3 fresh Emu eggs and at a major discounted price.....he contacts me and now says....hey I have Ostriches for sale all ages!
OK HELLO.....back when I had hundreds of extra dollars....granted that lasts only miliseconds in my pockets....but I HAD it....and had a pipe stall all ready for them.....he was too sketchy to chat with me via email.....so whatever.....NOW he's ready.....but alas, I won't close the door....I still want to know what the cost would be for younger ones, not newly hatched but YOUNG so that I can hopefully get them attached to me pretty well. I'm thinking those dinosaur looking birds on the property would be a great deterrent for predators :)
