Seramas are usually classed as A, B, or C...C being the biggest in size...I have to look up the weights again that go with those classes. Basically the A class stand as tall as a coke can, it's awesome. My little dinky rooster waslike a squeeky toy when he crowed, and I didn't realize that sound was him crowing until I saw him do it. I guess I was used to my monster 3 foot tall roos....the Serama I have now has a distinct crow, you know it's a rooster but he is a bit lower in volume....but again, I don't know how 'pure' this pair is and if they are even truly Seramas. That's just from the fact that I have seen various Seramas and mine aren't matching up perfectly....close but no cigar! :)
Since I have had eggs from this one seller before, I may ask him (should I win his auction) if he thinks he'd have enough for me to buy a double batch. If so, I will try two dozen and see what I get. He only breeds the A class, smallest of them all. Granted, with Seramas that is no guarantee that their babies would all be A class....unfortunately it doesn't work that way, but I'd prefer to have the smallest eggs and start that way to try and breed for the tiny genetics rather than what I did before and start with eggs as big as my silkies!
I'll keep you up to dat with what happens.
