I'm new here but I've been at the REC for several years. In looking at some of these postings I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on Earl Wheaton alone. I was sooooooo glad when I transferred out from under him. He is hateful and downright mean. He once told someone that he was so "strict" because he is ex-military. I have news for him, I've worked for ex-military officers with higher ranks than him that were a heck of a lot nicer than him!

I wish he would go back to Dallas or anywhere else but the Beaumont REC. He just refused to renew the contract of one the teachers on T80 (a working crew) but wouldn't tell her anything when she called except that her contract was up. I know her attendance record is good and her keying skills are okay or her previous contracts wouldn't have been renewed. She is going to fight his decision and try to get her position back, maybe with back pay.

Earl seems to have a hate on for the working crews. He made the statement once that he thinks all of the 4-hour working crews should be made into 6-hour crews, that there should not be any such thing as a 4-hour crew. I gave up trying to figure him out and just worked on keeping a low profile until I was able to transfer off his crew. Even then he initially denied my transfer request and made an unnecessary nasty comment (in writing). I had to go over his head (so to speak) to get the transfer. Rumor has it that he has sent out several resumes but is getting no nibbles.
