Hi there...

My daughter has been in 2 pageants so far and her dresses have been bought. I plan to make the next one for her up comming pageant and need to know where to start. I have a good sewing machine and can sew pretty well. Im not worried about making the costumes, just the formal dress. So, where do I start? Where can I get instuctions and where can I get a pattern? Is there an easier style to make at first or any tips that you could give a first timer? Any tips would be great!! Thanks so much!

Noel

mypageantkid.com has patterns. she has stock and custom patterns. I have used them before. You can decorate any way you want it is just what you envision for your dd. I prefer E-6000 glue to attach stones, you can buy it at Wal-Mart or any craft store. Practice gluing some cheap stones on cheap fabric before you do the real thing because you do not want to have any glue spots. Using the lace applique as a guide for the stones makes it much easier unless you are really artistic or creative (which I am NOT)Good luck!
