I'm still pretty new to all this, so I may be asking lots of questions. As a seamstress/designer I need to keep up on all the latest trends, which I try to do, but I also apprectiate any advice I can get.
I have been sewing for over 30 years, but I have just recently ventured into the 'pageant world'. I LOVE making the pageant clothes, they are so much fun.
I hope we will get lots of 'traffic' from the other fine designer and seamstresses that are out there.
Now I have a question - are the two-tone dresses still the 'hot' thing right now?

As far as the two toned skirts go i think it might depend on your area. When I mentioned to someone who lives in Louisiana that I was making a two -toned skirt for my dd they said that waws out of style. However in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida I know they are the hottest thing going right now. It seems almost like it is a prerequisite for winning lately at AAM and SUSA. So I hope this helps you. I think it is based on the trends in your area.

My dd has an AWESOME 2-toned dress, but best dressed in our group was solid color. GO FIGURE:) We live in FL! and love the 2-3- tonned dresses.

I, too, like the two-tone dresses. Wouldn't it be nice if you had an idea of what the judges liked ;-)

Thanks Robin. That's good to know. I'm glad there is a little variety around the country.
