Subject: Cotswold School, Ashton Keynes.

Who remembers the end of term Road Race, which was in fact a cross country race around the school far. Every boy had to run and it was an inter house competition. A fair bit of cash was exchanged in bets amongst the staff. I was in St. David's house and we had some good runners, me included. Some of us ran for the county schools cross country. We knew Jock Anderson would be looking to make lots of money so it wasn't a good idea for him to upset the whole house the day before the race. All of us from St Davids walked round most of the course causing Jock to lose a fair bit of cash. Funny how things come back to mind for no reason!
