Subject: Re: St Georges Freshfield Formby

>>I,was in St Georges in 1968-71, I was in St Vincents house at first, then went to Scott house at the end of 69, I have good memories from that time, some good, some bad, all I know is every time I knew I was going home for good, I'd abscond on day leave, and get another few months added on. Although it may seem a lot, as I did abscond about 6 times, I was only there 2 years and 8 month total, the reason I absconded was, I didn't really want to go home, as I couldn't face going to an outside school knowing I would be humiliated by everyone, so in the end, I reckon it worked out right for me. Since I have been out, I've been back to visit 4 times, but I want to go back again to see the ledger, as there are some friends I would like to try and get in touch with, I have typed names on f/book, but no joy. If anyone knows how to get the names od anyone, can you please let me know. I remember many of the staff there too, I have seen and spoke to Mr O'Neill, he was one of my teachers, also the football teacher, sadly I have not seen him for 3 or 4 years, maybe he passed away, but it would be a shame if he has, as he knew me when I introduced myself to him, like I sais, many fond memories. Hope to read more stories from old heads soon.
