Do you think the government are mad if they had a compensation scheme for everyone who had been in approved schools or borstal they would be bankrupt 100's of times over the only way to do anything is to have a group of you who went to the same place and who all have had things happen to the ie: physical and or sexual abuse and even then you would have to remember quiet vividly the experiences and who the perpertraters were and then it will take years of fighting for a couple of thousand payout thats all the government classes a childhood and lost oppurtunities at take it from someone who knows how the system works and who has tried to help people fight it. You are entilted to half an hours free legal advice so you could find out where you stand but but dont hold out to much hope as the government are trying to close all doors on this now. Remember the best way to achive anything is to have a group of you as there is power in numbers. Hope this helps.
