>Hi Cora, I found your message very moving and sad, I was in An approved School called St Georges, thankfully these attocities don't happen now.
I was sent to St Georges when I was 12 years old and left when I was 16, I was raped more or less every day whilst I was in there, I was sexually abused by my freinds father who was a copper before I was sent to St Georges, then to Portland Borstal at 17 and in and out of prison for numerous years, Mainly Strangeways, was in a padded cell and a straight Jacket for some time.
However, Like you, I turned my life around and I have three great grown up Children who have never been in trouble with the law thankfully, so I got that right.
It was good reading your message, and how true, these things happened all over and no one ever got punished for their sadistic behavior in these Schools.
Like you, these things happened many, many years ago, it made me much stronger really and more able to cope with life now.
I live In Manchester. thanks for putting pen to paper, these thing never really leave you do they. take care. Alan
