I handed my payment to the post-man this afternoon who said that he would make sure it would be postmarked today. Of course I can't be certain it will - we all forget or make mistakes and if my postman happens to fail to get this mail postmarked today my dd will certainly lose out. I"m sure there arer others in the same position. They may have put their payment in a mailbox today, right after the last pickup of the day. I'm very tempted to do an online payment, just to cover my bases. Why don't you agree to give everyone the courtesy of a nov 1st or 2nd postmark. Afterall, the website was very unclear about what our options were regarding payment. Had I known you would post that we could do online payments tonight - I never would have taken the chance with the USPS. At 4pm - that was the only option I felt we had left.(based on the mssg on the payment page.)
After all everyone has been through here, I think you owe it to us, to allow a little slack on the postmark.
You think you've caught hell with the feis go-ers now - imagine their response when you decline a nov 1 postmarked payment after they waited at their computer all day(or 2) to register. - and then give that spot to someone who was waitlisted. Not good.
