REQUIREMENTS:

The participant must be a girl in 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in public or private school.
The attached entry must be completed and returned to Our Lady of Peace School by April 28, 2006 with the non-refundable entry fee. Money orders, cash, or cashier checks accepted. **No personal checks will be accepted.**

FEES FOR CONTESTANTS:

Our Lady of Peace School Student: $25.00
Our Lady of Peace School Sibling: $20.00
Non-Lady of Peace School Contestant $35.00
Non-Lady of Peace School Sibling $25.00

JUDGING CATEGORIES:

There are two divisions: 5th and 6th : Division One
7th and 8th : Division Two
Stage Personality: Judged on eye contact, smile, comfort and confidence on stage. An award will be given to the contestant with the highest score in stage personality.
Fashion: Judged on style of dressy casual wear, fit and color. An award will be given to the contestant with the highest score in fashion.
Talent: Judged on performance. Talent may include dance, singing, playing an instrument, reciting a poem, interpretive dance, acting, etc. An award will be given to the contestant with the highest score in talent.
Oral Question Response: Each contestant will respond to one question out of three that has been thoughtfully considered. The question asked to each contestant will be at random, so the contestant must be able to answer any of the three. The attire for the response is Sunday best. An award will be given to the contestant with the highest score in response.


OVER QUESTIONS FOR ORAL RESPONSE:

1. What would you do if you could change one thing at your school that would better the students and staff? Include how you would do this.

2. If you had a thousand dollars, how would you spend it and why?

3. Who is a person that you admire, and why do you feel this way?


JUDGING:
The judges will score contestants in presentation (on stage), personality (character), attire (fashion), and talent. Our judges will be qualified judges with past experience in pageants. All judges decisions are final. Judges request there be no contact with them from contestants and/or family prior to or immediately following the competition. Individual score sheets will be available for pickup immediately following crowing.


AWARDS:
The first place winner of both divisions will receive a trophy, tiara, satin wrap banner, and flowers. The second place winners of both divisions will receive a trophy, tiara, satin wrap banner, and flowers. (There will a noticeable difference in the size of the trophy and tiara for the first and second place winners.)

An award will be given to the contestant with the highest score in stage personality, fashion, talent, and response.
