I have only just seen your question about Blaenavon Blues weekend! Sorry about the delay. As the organiser of the event I felt a little dissapointed with the attendance at some of the gigs. The free gigs were well supported (what a suprise!) and a good time was had by all. Little George was awesome and Eddie Martin was up to his his usual standard. Very few turned up for Eddie's workshop on Sunday morning - bad timing I guess. The blues train happened but without the blues duo we hoped for - one of them was in bed with the flu!! Most agreed it was a good start to something very new to the area. If we do it again we will need better funding as it was on a bit of a shoe-string. Perhaps we should make it a Torfaen Blues festival with events across the county?? Thanks to all Borough Blues people who came up the hill!
