We can understand how personal aspects (age, motivation, emotions and intelligence) can interfere in the Second Language Acquisition Process. If learners and teachers are conscious about these personal aspects, they will be able to understand the Learning Acquisition Phenomena as an easier process.
Krashen’s theory proposes that a personal aspect can interfere or help in the Second Language Acquisition. According to Krashen, learning a new language is different from learning other topics because it involves public practice. Speaking out in a new language can result in anxiety. These harmful emotions can make a kind of filter that chunk the learner’s skill to process words of a Second Language (Krashen, 1981; Krashen & Terrell, 1983).
