Just by watching some basic moves made this and last season, here's why people here couldn't be a NHL GM:

Cropley: Will trade away best player on his team for a young prospect. Young prospect gets injured while best player goes on to finish in the top 5 of scoring.

Dragan: Would be unwilling to pull the trigger on a trade until another GM has traded for the same player.

Juan: Would have solid forwards and goalie, but a defensive pairing of Kim Johnsson and Francois Boucheman would add no power offensively. Would end up having sexual relations with J.S. Giguere and get fired.

Rick: Two words: Dan Cloutier

Callum: Would be too busy trying to sign players that have past their prime or were 50 goal scorers because Joe Thornton was assisting their goals.

Chris L.: Would trade his two best players away for Jarkko and Tuomo Ruutu and build the team around them. Would not spend time signing or trading players as he'd fly out to Russia and try to convince Artem Chubarov to return to the NHL.

Jason: Would take Dany Heatley over Sidney Crosby in a draft...but I won't try to make fun of him, since he is kicking everyones ass with that move right now.

Matt: He probably has the best defensive pairing in this pool, but would take a player on Pittsburgh's 4th line if someone else told him he was good.

Virginia/Lindsay: Would have the oldest average age for players on a team in the NHL, and it would only be below 35 because of the one Eric Staal on their team.

Mark: Would have an assistant GM make all the decisions after winning the Cup one year, resulting in long term injury players being aquired and a lack of depth.

Sara: Would be too resistant to trade a player with great potential who just isn't working for the team (i.e. Rick Nash). Would rather have the farm team as her regular team if all the players got injured instead of making some moves.

Kevin: Patrice Bergeron would be the captain of Kevin's team, and his team would be full of team leaders like Ryan Smyth all over. Good team spirit. Would take risks with players like Brule and would have a team that was almost as old as the Vancouver Giants if he had the choice.

Fleming: Would trade away his goalie after the first game of the season after getting drunk at the game and getting pissed off that the team lost the season opener. Would get the same goalie back later in the season after drinking again, trading away a goalie who would break the consecutive shutout record in the process. Too many alcohol related decisions would hurt the team.

Derek: Would trade away the whole team for a keg of beer.
