Date Posted: 11:34:10 03/27/07 Tue Author Host/IP: 24.84.127.170 My luck with goalies is about as good as Chris L.'s luck with players...they turn to shit when I pick them (actually, that's not true about Chris's defence this year). Last year I took Andrew Raycroft as my goalie, a solid goalie the previous season winning Rookie of the Year honors. Then he melted down, and couldn't even win a fucking game for Boston. So I dropped him and took Henrik Lundqvist, who had a rock solid start last season, and then coasted through with a near .500 record after. Then I take Manny Fernandez. All was well to start the year, a few shutouts, lots of wins, I was happy. Then he lost a few games, and backup goalie Niklas Backstrom goes on fire. Then Fernandez gets hurt, and Backstrom takes over the #1 spot, and even their 3rd stringer starts to play really well. So then I drop Fernandez for the 15 season man, Rick DiPietro. He's had a pretty decent year, at least he'll get me some wins right? Well, a "general body soreness" injury, and now a PCS injury has left DiPietro out-indefenitely. Fuck. I'll kiss my run for 3rd place goodbye. Discuss your hate for goalies here, the only person who should have anymore hate for goalies than myself is Fleming.
