So I decided to post a few interesting facts on here about the draft:

Only 4 players selected in the first round last season were selected in this years 1st round: Dany Heatley, Joe Thornton, Peter Forsberg and Patrick Elias.

Johnathan Cheechoo, selected in the 1st round this season, was NEVER on anyones roster at any point last season.

Robert Lang, selected in the first round of the draft last season, was not selected by anyone in this years draft.

Although I finished in 5th place last season, all 4 of the forwards on my roster at the end of the season (Heatley, Ovechkin, Elias and Hossa) were selected in the top 10 this year.

Big money picks by Juan Ramos like Jose Theodore and Sheldon Souray were not selected at all this year, while another big money pick of his (Milan Hejduk) wasn't selected until Round 7 of the draft.

Marion Gaborik was selected 50 spots higher than last year's draft (22 up from 72).

Chris L. and Kevin are the only players to draft 2 of the same players as they did last year (Kevin: Bergeron, Sullivan. Chris L.: Gagne, Rafalski)

The only player drafted who isn't schedualed to start the season is Evgeni Malkin on Fleming's roster.
