Here are my thoughts on everybody's team's and at the very bottom my projected standings...

Jason

Strengths: Heatley is your man. If the Sedins do something your team could do some damage.

Weaknesses: Savard is way too high for a second rounder and defence is mediocre.

Will win pool if: Brodeur wins the vezina, Heatley wins the Hart and both of the Sedins score 100 pts... in other words, you will need a miracle.

Derek

Strenghts: Ovechkin should win the scoring race of course. Gionta is an up-and-comer and depending who he plays with he could do some damage.

Weaknesses: Just like the Capitals, your whole team is Ovechkin. When your three and four forwards are Cole and Bell it's easy to tell where your drops will be going.

Will win pool if: Ovechkin scores 25 goals more than his nearest oponent and if Nashville finishes #1 in the league.

Kevin

Strengths: SOLID D, Solid Goalie, Solid #1 forward... I like it a lot

Weaknesses: Your 2,3,4 forwards don't seem too deep

Will win pool if: Your stars keep being stars and your young players have great seasons

Rick

Strenghts: Best forward combination in the pool, great young defencemen

Weaknesses: Goaltending

Will win pool if: You avoid injuries, Cloutier doesn't get benched and your defence performs decently.

Juan

Strengths: Good 1-2 combo up front, great goalie during the regular season

Weaknesses: Inexperienced 3-4 forwards, second year defenceman who did not put big numbers up last season

Will win pool if: Svatos and Hemsky lead their teams in scoring and Beauchemin becomes a top defenceman with lots of PP time.

Virginia

Strengths: Lots of depth in forwards, very good defence

Weaknesses: Goaltending and Paul Mara

Will win pool if: McDonald leads the NHL in scoring (haha Scott) and Joseph has a magical season

Matty

Strenghts: Strong up-and-coming forwards, very good goalie

Weaknesses: Aging defence, Luongo will lack support

Will win pool if: Canucks make the playoffs, the Oilers are top 5 in scoring and the D-men play at the same level as the did last season.

Cropley

Strenghts: Very balanced well-rounded team. By looking at your team you can't tell who you picked in the first round and who you picked in the last round. Basically every player is of the same caliber.

Weaknesses: A lot of question marks with your roster. Which St. Louis is going to show up? Can Forsberg still do it?

Will win if: Forsberg leads the league in assists and TB wins the East

Chris L.

Strenghts: I like the O, I like the D

Weaknesses: Goaltending, aging defence

Will win pool if: Bryzgalov becomes the undisputed #1 in Anaheim, Zetterberg leads the Wings in scoring and Gomez becomes the newest and hottest NHL superstar

Mark

Strengths: Very balanced team.

Weaknesses: Another team with no clear superstars but every player has the potential be top 3 in scoring for their respective teams.

Will win pool if: At least two of your players become clear superstars during the season, Havlat gets traded away from Ottawa and Huet plays like he did at the end of last season. You will also need to make some sort of move that makes you like 100 points during the season kind of like how I got Staal last year.

Dragan

Strenghts: Deep, balanced and superstar forwads, solid, high-scoring defencemen.

Weaknesses: Goaltending

Will win pool if: Your forwards play like the know how, Williams becomes a star, and you avoid key injuries

Fleming

Strenghts: Jagr should continue to be amazing, Cam Ward is only going to get more playing time and more wins.

Weaknesses: Malkin is a question mark, Nagy was a weak pick, your D isn't the most explosive,high-scoring pair

Will win if: Malkin wins the Calder and recovers quickly, Briere becomes a superstar, Jagr keeps bringing it, Ward keeps getting better and you make an early drop that turns your season around.

Sara

Strenghts: I'll tell ya Sara, I like a lot of things about your team. Lots of youth, up-and-coming talent, and rising superstars. If everyone plays to their potential this could be all yours.

Weaknesses: Having a lot of young players is a huge risk, but at least you know Kariya is going to bring it.

Will win pool if: Your young stars become superstars and Ryan Miller doesn't get pulled for Biron too much.

Callum

Stenghts: Features and explosive 1-2-3 combo in forward and a sick young goalie with a team that should do pretty decently

Weaknesses: I'm wondering who your 4th forward is going to be but I'm guessing he will be one of your weaknesses. Bertuzzi is another guy that you just don't know how he'll perform.

Will win pool if: Bertuzzi becomes the comeback player of the year, you pick a decent 4th forward, avoid injuries and if Naslund and the Sedins find their chemistry during the season.

My projected standings:

14. Derek
13. Jason
12. Matt
11. Scott F.
10. Mark
9. Kevin
8. Chris L.
7. Cropley
6. Virginia
5. Sara
4. Callum
3. Juan
2. Scott D.
1. Rick

Let me know what you think and good luck in the pool!
