Subject: Some ARG cheats, mystery emails, and speculation

http://lostoctagonglobalrecruiting.blogspot.com/

First of all, there appears to be a "cheat". As well as at least one fan receiving some intrigueing email messages.

I've now tried the new test several times now and I am inclined to agree with some other fans that the "test" is not 100% solveable - and that's the point. Are you a "Locke" who'll keep trying? Pressing the button, so to speak? Or a "Sawyer", who'll catch on to the "con" and cleverly cheat to get inside? (Myself, I was a "Lawyer" ...or a Socke, I'm not sure which, lol.) I've tried the cheat and also kept hammering at it. Perhaps the point of the test is to see how you'll respond to a non-winning scenario. I don't think "cheating" is cheating -- I like Captain Kirk's assertion about his academy test that he just "changed the rules."

Whatever you do, DON'T "challenge a friend" - because you'll be sending a message to join "Grouply", a legit online service. Technically - spamming. A rather cheesy tactic on the part of ABC, imho.

I'll keep y'all posted if anything interesting occurs with the ARG.

I have a feeling that this ARG is not going to give us much. I do like your Ct. Kirk reference! I don't even forward emails so I'd never do the challenge friend thing. I think the whole thing is going to revolve around time as the central issue. I think this coming season though, may be rockin' good if time is the real issue, which it seems to be.

The other thing I haven't liked about the first ARG and this one is the reliance on computer hacking skills. Not every Lost fan is a super hacker who knows how to deconstruct a Flash file (or who has the time!). It's a bit elitist, imho.

I got a 94% on the spacial test, but nothing happened because of it. I should've at least found a secret password, lol.

I'll keep reporting on the ARG, but it sucks.

I agree, not terribly exciting. Which didn't stop me from playing the spatial test four times until I got a 78--how on earth can you move your mouse fast enough for 90-something?

Freezing time is apparently not one of my talents. =)
