Subject: Eight "survivors" minus "Oceanic 6" - who will stay and who will go?

Okay, we know Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Hurley make it off the island. I don't believe Aaron will be counted among the "six". However "eight survivors" implies that two may die leaving the island or immediately after.

I think one of them is Michael, who I think is the one in the coffin - Jack would be the type to go to the funeral while Kate reviles the person's memory. Plus, the obit said "is survived by a teenage son." So, Walt may also be one of the "Oceanic 6". That leaves one unaccounted "survivor" and one unaccounted "Oceanic 6". My speculations...


Sun and Jin may both leave but Sun dies from her pregnancy (as Juliette mentions), leaving Jin as a possible survivor/sixer.

Elizabeth will leave and possibly side with the Dharma group against Ben. But she wont be officially counted as either a survivor or a sixer.

Bernard and Rose will stay on the island.

Desmond will not make it off the island.

Locke will absolutely stay on the island and become the crazy "Corporal Kurtz" that Sawyer mentions.

Sawyer will choose to stay on the island, now that he has comfortable digs and less immediate danger (relatively).

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Vincent the dog is one of the sixers?

Who am I missing?

Confusing the actress with the character.

Also, I think Claire will die and that's why Kate has Aaron - perhaps Claire asks Kate to take care of Aaron (esp. if Sun also doesn't make it).

Are we sure the one in the coffin is an O6? I'm fuzzy on the details of the S3 finale.

I don't believe Claire will die. I don't want her to! Whenever whatever happens which allows Kate and Co. to leave and hinders the rest, I'm assuming it's one big mix-up and Claire and Aaron get seperated, and that Kate then willingly takes over guardianship of Aaron.

Possibly Jin and Sun could be the other two. I still hope Desmond makes it off as well, if Sayid managed to then why not him?

I can easily see Juliet leaving, we know how badly she wants to and much like Benry she wouldn't be counted an O6er as well.

Sawyer, Rose, Bernard and Locke will stay, I agree with you there.

There's just so much discussion on whether or not Aaron counts as one of the 6. As someone who didn't even question that he would be, I wonder why people are so focused on names on the manifest--did the show say the 6 were all on the manifest at some point and I missed it?

but i'm also confused as to why on earth people wouldn't count aaron as one of the six.

they blatently told us they were showing us one of the six. the whole point was for us to be waiting for it the whole ep...wondering when it was gonna happen. and for wallop to come at the end and for it to be aaron. someone we wouldn't have even thought of.

do people think he'd only count as a "half"? i'm boggled.

I wasn't even discussing the manifest. I was just going by the character each of the season 4 eps has focussed on so far -- we know Jack, Kate, Sayid, and Hurley make it off the island. It's not like I'm anti-baby, fer chrissakes.

Because she was off the island in episode one.

So I guess Aaron is Sixer No. 5.
