I loved this episode. I thought for sure they were going to kill Desmond off up until the phone call went through. I don't think I've ever focused on a tv show to try and grasp what what going on! The cool part IMHO was when you saw in his notebook that Desmond was his constant. Just the concept of it is awesome. Sayid was a good friend too.

Nice way of giving us a backdoor flashback for Dan without focusing an entire episode on the new guy.
Also, I like that they've given Desmond's story a new spin, now that his visions thing with Charlie has played out.
