I'm sticking with my original theory that some people who want the island to stay hidden planted a fake 815 in the ocean so nobody would keep looking for it and find it. I'm thinking the "Oceanic Six" made a deal with these people to go back to civilization, but they had to tell the world that they were the only survivors of the crash and not say anything about the crazy craphole island. So the rest of the people are still on the island and stuck there, and the Jacob-whatsit that makes people see things is trying to tell Hurley to tell the world about it.
This is all theory and conjecture, but it makes sense in my brain.

The end seemed a bit stiled but I guess splitting up into two groups is worth some drama. I figured Claire and Sawyer (I liked him a lot in this ep, it was sweet how he tried to comfort Hurley) would go with Locke, but I think it's interesting that Desmond didn't. I suppose Jin and Sun want to get back to civilization because of the baby but I have to say I'm suprised that Rose so vehemently opposed Locke...
Ben was fun in this ep. He made me laugh, and Claire and Hurley made me get teary.
The dude who visted Hurley in the institution was creepy. Like, Benry creepy. Very intense, I hope we see him again.

I figured that since we clearly saw those who joined Locke, the rest were just sticking with Jack.
Team Locke - Claire, Hurley, Sawyer, Ben, Rousseau, Alex and her boyfriend.
Team Jack - Juliet, Desmond, Kate, Jin, Sun, Sayid, Bernard and Rose.
And then there are multiple no-names on each side.
Interesting to muse over what made the indiviual characters choose a side.

So Hurley's flashforwards were b4 Jack's with the beard. There were only 6 people that made it off the island right? I wonder if it could have been Hurley in the casket? It could make sense in that he didn't really have any family in his life. Also, that other dude saw Charlie too because he pointed him out. The shack thing totally freaked me out. I'm also confused about Hurley apologizing to Jack about not going with him. Otherwise I do tend to go with Joe's theory.
