Notice that Marvin Candle usees a different name for each station's orientation film? So, they're hiding his identify from the station participants, just like they admitted in this video that they hid the true nature of the station and its purpose. So all the poor Dharma workers were probably "hijacked" like Juliet was. No wonder they're such a dysfunctional bunch!
