This is what the RFU thinks of the Midlands 1 battle:
"With three rounds of matches left the battle for second place and to avoid the drop is still up for grabs.
At the top of the table three sides are chasing second spot with Broadstreet, Luctonians and Longton within two points of each other. South Leicester and Bedford Athletic are four points of second place and would see some strange results to get that second place.
But this weekend South Leicester play Longton and Bedford play Broadstreet and if they were both to win it would make it interesting, but they are both away whilst Luctonians are away at relegation threatened Scunthorpe.
At the bottom of the table it looks like Dunstablians and Peterborough are vying to avoid the third relegation spot with Dudley Kingswinford already relegated and Scunthorpe in serious trouble needing to win all three of their matches and need Peterborough to lose all theirs and Dunstablians to only win one of their remaining three matches.
Scunthorpe do have two games at home and are away at DK whilst both Peterborough and Dunstablians have some tough fixtures left
At this stage you would have to think Broadstreet were favourites for second place and Scunthorpe and just Dunstablians are favourites to join DK in relegation but I am sure Dunstablians will have something to say about that".
We don't merit a mention, which is probably a good thing!
