 No-one is bigger than the Club - not the 1st. XV and not the Pirates.
The original, anonymous, contributor seems have forgotten the immense amount of work that Club officials and employees put in to enable the Pirates to exist, and to continue their good work for the youth of the Club. His is a sterile argument anyway - those who seek praise or acknowledgement rarely deserve to receive it.
He is lucky he is playing (if he does) for the Pirates now. Twenty years-ish ago the then alickadoos regarded the Pirates as a "club within a club" and had a good shot at closing the Pirates down altogether! So, failing a retraction of his comments, future silence and some humility is called for.
