I don't understand/can't register for the forum with the 'new' website, so a few comments on this site about today's display against Bedford:
1. Rucking and counter-rucking was pathetic - little interest and athleticism
2. Kicking out-of-hand (and penalties) was very poor
3. Don't force the pass - go to ground and start again
4. Most importantly, mid-field tackling was shameful
These are not recent mistakes - the fault lines have run through every game this season. We won today because, although enthusiastic, Bedford could not maintain pressure and they tired towads the end. Chester next week will be an entirely different proposition. We wll lose badly against them and other top teams unless and until we fix these weak tactical areas.
NB More than 5 personnel mid-week for training might help. As well a bonuses for success, we should start to think about financial penalties for lack of commitment
