one morning ponytail and i were getting ready for 1 hour of jumping.ponytail was ready for it i could tell she pranced as i led her out of her stall heading towards the indoor ring.as soon as we got there i relized that we were early.the begginer class still had ten minutes left.they were working on one side of the ring.come on ponytail lets give them something to cheer about.i said as i gave ponytail a cluck to get her moving again.we moved evenly for a couple of minutes at a sedate trot.then i gave her a cluck into a canter. the mare obeyed quickly and moved into a smooth canter.i turned her in from the circle we had drawn when we were trotting.i heard max my teacher say something but i couldn't quiet catch the words and then suddenlly i knew what he was talking about.everyone was watching me.then i heard max say to me'' take ponytail through the course at an even pace lucy''.i gulped.everyone was watching me warm up ponytail.we were a couple of strides away from the jump.i gave the mare a cluck to tell her to keep going.ok here it goes.i closed my eyes as the mare jumped. she lunged forward.then i felt her hooves hit the ground lightly.yes i thought as we finished the course off ending it with a halt in the center.everyone cheered as i walked over to the group.i grinned as the rest of my class entered the ring and the begginers class left.
after that max always made me go in the ring early so
i could do a little jumping or dressage on my ponytail.
see i said to ponytail.i told you we could make them cheer.
