Subject: Making Money in Runescape

FIRST MAKING MONEY GUIDE

Introduction
Skills that can help you in earning money for non-members on Runescape are Mining, Fishing/Cooking, Woodcutting, Smithing, Crafting.
Mining
A player who can go into the mining guild earns money fast. Sell Iron ores for 50 to 100 each, Coal for 150 each, Silver for 200 each, Gold for 150 to 300 each, Mithril ores for 250 to 300 each, Adamantine ores for 900 to 1k each and Runite ores for at least 10k each.
Smithing
When you've got a decent amount of money, you can buy ores/bars. Smith them to get your level up. It takes a long time, but you earn a lot after you can smith rune items.
Mining/Smithing
Recommended for new players. If you are new, mine copper and tin. Smith them into bronze bars in a furnace. Make bronze items out of them and sell them to stores. A good place to do this would be the South-east Varrock Mine/Al-Kharid Furnace/Varrock Anvils and Stores. For other players who do not want to spend their money buying ores and bars, this is an option for them. Just mine the ores you need and smith them into items, after which you can sell them.
Fishing/Cooking
Train fishing up to level 40 so that you can fish lobsters. Before that, fishing doesn't really earn much money for you. Fish lobsters and sell them. Cooked lobsters sell for more and are easier to sell so I'll recommend cooking them. You need a cooking level of 40 to cook lobsters. Sell cooked lobsters for 150 to 200 each. Swordfish is also a way of earning money, but less people buy swordfish. You need a fishing level of 50 to fish them and a cooking level of 45 to cook them. Sell cooked swordfish for 250 to 350 each.
Woodcutting
A skill that earns a lot of money, but you need a lot of patience. Keep training your woodcutting level by cutting trees until you can cut oaks. Then, keep cutting oaks. Even though willow trees give more exp, I've noticed that cutting oaks give better overall exp. Cutting oaks give more exp per hour because you miss less often, as compared to cutting willows. Once you've got woodcutting level 60, go cut yews. I would strongly recommend you use a rune axe before cutting yews, because it takes a long time. Sell yew logs for 250 to 350 each.
Crafting
Not recommended for non-members but it is still a way to earn money. Craft gold bars into necklaces/amulets/rings and sell them to the general stores. The only good way of earning money from crafting is by making diamond amulets (requires crafting level 70), enchanting them into amulets of power (requires magic level 57) and selling them for about 10k each. A good way of leveling up crafting is by making holy symbols, as they give 50 exp each.
Buying and Selling
Go to Varrock world 1 for some bargains. Buy items at low prices and sell them for higher prices. For example, I bought 5 rune 2 hand swords for 40k each and sold them for 45k-74k each. However, you need to have a certain amount of money or else you cannot use this method.
Fighting
Fight monsters and earn money from their drops. If you are a member, it is highly recommended that you range fire giants, as to the fact that they have lots of valuable drops such as rune arrows, rune scimitars, half keys, dragon left half shields and dragon mediums. Another method of earning money from monster drops in members is to kill monsters such as Hell Hounds for clues.
PK-ing
Player Killing. Go into the wilderness and kill other players and get their drops. Recommended for high level players with at least 1 trusted (known outside of Runescape) partner.
Fletching
After woodcutting your own yews or magic logs, make them into longbows. After that go and get flax and use it on a spindle wheel to make bow strings, or you can just buy them for 100gp each. Use the strings with all of your bows. After this go mine rune essence or buy it for 20gp each. Go to the Nature rune alter after getting 44 RuneCrafting and make enough nature runes to equal the number of bows you have. After you have that, whip out your fire battle staff and high alch all of your bows. After that you should have about 400k total for every 1k yew longs and about 1.2 mil for 1k mage longs.

SECOND MAKING MONEY GUIDE

Once you've built up your skills, it's time to make a profit from them! This section is all about helping you line your pockets with gold. Here's a few things you can do to earn some money.
1.1) Rune Essense Miner
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time Requirements: About 15 minutes (per 100)
Operating Overhead: 0 G
Items Required:
+ A Pickaxe
+ Completion of "Rune Mysteries Quest"
There's people (usually magicians) who craft large amounts of runes & don'twant to spend the time to mine the Rune Essence themselves. These players also buy in bulk, trying to pick up anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 notes worth the Rune Essences (item notes are required to transport large amounts of items that can't be stacked within inventory). To take advantage of this, go to the nearest Rune Shop & tell the owner that you want to teleport to the Rune Mine (you'll have to complete the "Rune Mysteries" Quest" first to access this option). Once at the Rune Mine, head to the nearest Rune Essence Lodestone (they're these huge rocks) & mine the Lodestone until you've filled up your inventory. Then head to the nearest portal (nearby the Lodestone) to return to the point you teleported from. Head to the nearest bank to unload your Rune Essences & repeat this between the bank & the rune shop until you feel like you have enough Rune Essence in store.
The best place to do your mining is in East Varrock as it has the shortest distance between the Bank & the Rune Shop. When you're ready to sell the Rune Essences, head to the bank & withdraw all the Rune Essences at you want to sell as item notes. You must withdraw the
essences as item notes so you can hold more than 28 of them. You can either wait for a buyer to show up or advertise that you're selling Rune Essences. You can either set the price you're willing to sell or let the buyer set the price. You should, however, make sure that the per-item price you're getting is at least 10 G a piece. The buyer will also make sure that you're price isn't over 30 G a piece.
Payout: 10 - 30 G/ ea. or 1k - 3k G per 100
1.2) Cape Makers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time Requirements: 30 - 60 minutes
Operating Overhead: 100 - 200 G
Items Required:
+ Numerous Capes
+ Various Dyes
This is one of the more laborious ventures, but you can make some quick money by selling various colored capes to others. People like to accessorize their characters by wearing different colored items & many will pay large amounts of money (upwards to 4,000 G) to buy them. These items are Capes, Gloves & Boots (members only?) that people like to buy. Unlike the Gloves & Boots, Capes are the easiest to make... granted you're willing to take the time. First thing you must do is obtain some capes. You can either buy them at a shop for 2 - 8 G a piece OR fight Lv 5 Highway Men south of Falador for free. Please note that most of the capes you buy will be red & most of the capes you pick up from the Highway Men are Black. You will need at least 6 or 7 capes to make a set of colored capes. Next, pick up the ingredients to make the dyes you need to color the capes. Please note that you will not need any red dyes except for making Orange & Purple dyes if you've bought your capes. You will also make to make sure that you keep a few Black capes untouched if you have some as you can sell it with your dyed capes. After dying your capes with the various colors, you're now ready to sell them in the street markets. You should keep a mental note that you'll need to sell each cape for a minimum of 30 G a piece to break even. However, you do not want to announce a fixed price for the capes as it can damage your income potential. If you allow the buy to name their price, you can make money while appearing to save the buyer some money as well. You should only tell the buyer your minimum price after they present you an offer that's under your production costs. The only exception to this are for purchases of your red & black capes, because they have a low to no production costs. The standard procedure to selling the capes are, show the buyer one of each
color of capes & ask them what color(s) they want. Remove the capes that the buyer doesn't want & ask for their offer. If their offer is above 30 G per cape, you can accept the deal OR ask for more. Please be aware that you only make money if you can close the deal with the user.
Payout: 50 - 2000 G per cape
1.3) Smith for Hire
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time Requirements: 60 minutes or more
Operating Overhead: Varies
Items Required:
+ Ores (Iron or better)
+ Coal
+ A Pickaxe
+ A Hammer
This trade is one that requires moderate to high levels of mining & smithing as you'll need to be able to work with steel or better to become profitable. This trade is pretty basic as all you do it mine the ore, smelt it & shape the bars into usable equipment that others will want, including weapons & armor. Steel equipment is desirable for low level users (Lv 5 & up), but you'll be able to make big money once you get into Mithril & Adamant. Rune stuff is the biggest money maker, but it carries the highest risks as you must venture out into the high-level wilderness to mine it. Please note that a "Full Armor Set" is comprised of a Full Helm, Kite Shield, Leggings & Plate mail.
Payout: 80 G to 220k G, based on item & metal
Steel Weapons: 80 - 750 G/ea.
Steel Armor: 2.5k - 5k G/full set
Mithril Weapons: 200 - 3000 G/ea.
Mithril Armor: 10k - 30k G/full set
Adamant Weapons: 600 - 7500 G/ea.
Adamant Armor: 25k - 50k G/full set
Rune Weapons: 10k - 50k G/ea.
Rune Armor: 180k - 400k G/full set
1.4) Fisherman's Market
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time Requirement: Varies
Operating Overhead: Varies
Items Required: (Varies with the type of fish)
+ Fishing nets
+ Fishing rods (normal / fly)
+ Lobster cages
+ Harpoon
+ Feathers / Bait
To make money this way, you'll need to get relatively high fishing & cooking levels (Lv 20-50) to make any decent money here, but you'll want to fish Trout, Salmon, Tuna, Lobsters & Swordfish. After you catch the amount of fish that you want, you'll have to cook the fish before selling them. People will only take cooked fish because they want "Ready-to-Eat" items because they don't want to waste 100g on a fish just to burn it (& render it useless). Please be aware that the higher level fish will get more money, except for lobsters... which will yield more since it's a high-demand item.
Payout: Varies by fish, but generally 50-100g each.
1.5) Rune Crafters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time Requirements: 30-60 minutes (varies on rune)
Overating Overhead: about 5,000 G
Items Required:
+ Rune Essense (1000 or more)
+ Rune Tiaras OR Talisman (the type of runes you're crafting)
+ RuneCrafting Skill (varies on the rune you're crafting)
+ Knowledge of the Rune Alter Locations
NOTICE: This is moneymaking opportunity is more geared towards Members than free players as Members can get access to the higher-level Rune Alters. Members should be cautious of making Combo Runes due to the potential failure rate (50% failure) of combining. Due to the unknown hazards that are involved with the member alters, please take precautions before trekking out! This venture is geared towards the pocketbooks of the magicians of the game as all you do is make the various types of runes for them. First thing that you'll have to do is obtain large ammounts of Rune Essenses (a minimum of 1000 ), which can be easily obtained by purchasing them from other players at the price of 20-30g a piece. Next, toss a rune tiara on your head (or grab a talisman), fill up your inventory with rune essenses & head to the Rune Alter. Return to the bank to dump your newly crafted runes & pick up another load of rune essenses. Repeat this cycle as many times as you like or until your rune essense stock is exausted. When you're filled up with runes to sell, hit the markets to sell your wares. Please be aware that unless you're a member & selling high-level runes or
combination runes to free players (or fellow members), you may be taking a LOSS ON THIS VENTURE unless you've mined your own rune essense.
Payout: 2-30 G per Rune (Free Crafter)
------: 50-1000 G per Rune (Member Crafter)
Note: Cosmic, Nature, Law & Chaos runes can only be crafted by members.
These specific runes, however, are desirable by free players as they're used
in high-level & teleportation spells.
THIRD MONEY MAKING GUIDE
Requirements:
fletching - 70
RC - 44
magic - 56
This is not one of the best guides but remember that you need to pay for almost every other guide, many of them make less money then this, and I'm giving it away for FREE!
Guide 1:
First you will need at least 200k, not much. The more money you start off with the more you will make. Buy a lot of yew logs, make sure you save enough money to buy the same number of ess as you have logs. When you bought your yew logs and ess fletch your logs into yew longs. Don't string them, strings cost a lot also take a long time to add to bows, Also it lowers your profit. When you done fletching go to Brimmhaven. Take the wagon to Shilo Village, it costs a little but its worth it. Go to the bank and take out ALL of ess in notes. Bring you nat. tally and go to the alter. When your there go north west, you'll see a general store, go in it and sell the amount of ess you need to fill your bag. You just saved yourself a LONG trip to the bank. Now you don't need to pass spiders jorgers or w/e they're called high level zombies and having to go over obsticles!!! Go back to the alter and make your nats. Then back to the general store un-note enough to fill inventory then do it over and over until you make all of your nats. After your done making your runes HIGH alch all of your bows, Don't low alch our you will not make any profit. When your done alching you can keep going to make more money by buying even more logs and ess and doing it again, or you can stop if your happy with the amount you've made. The more times you do this the more the profit increases.
Guide 2:
This guide can be used at any level, you just need a little money to start off with. This is a easy way to make money. First buy A LOT of ess. for 20-25 gp each. Go on the forums, if your not a member just view it and membes pa about 35-45 gp per ess sometimes. Sell it to them and you just made a huge profit per ess. It doesn't seem like a lot because its only like 15gp but there are large numbes that your selling so you multply it by the profit you make.
Guide #3 (skill guide)
This is a very easy guide, But also hard. Unlike other guides this is a guide for leveling up so you can make money faster tehn everone else your level. First pick a level you really injoy such as fish, or mining. Those are the 2 I would recammend, possibly WC. Just make sure the skill you pick is a money making stat, so don't pick anything that deals with combat. Use this skill right off the bat when your level 3 if you just started, Get it as high as you can then get some combat levels so that you can train on higher levels rocks, trees, or fish depending on what stat you picked. Normaly when you get to higher level training areas there are some monsters there, such as the dwarf mines, they have scorps. Raise this skill ALL the time after you get around level 30 combat. Get it to a high level around level 60-70. At these levels you start to make a lot of money from these stats. Since your level is very low your making probably 100X most people your level. If you picked fishing for your guide i would recammend becoming a member and fishing in the fshign guild. Thats the stat I picked and i am extremly happy I did. But you need to be a member to actauly make money form it because the walk from karamja to the bank is way to far. Now just use your stat to make money, do it a lot of the time and it will raise a lot as well s the money in your pocket will be raising a huge amount in only a day! I would recammend everyone using this guide, raise one skill really high.
Guide #4 (merchanting)
Good ol' merchanting. One of the best ways to make money in runescape if not the best. You can do this at any level you just need a some money to start of with, or some items. The point to merchanting is to buy cheap and sell for a lot. No this is not scamming, you are allowed to sell your items for any amount you want. Scamming is when you trick someone into buying it for extremly high amounts. For example, buying a santa hat for 600k and selling for 750k, I just made 150k profit in 1 sale! There are some tricks to mechanting. One of them is to sell item sets, like mask set, party hat sets and so on. The reason for doing this is because it is a lot harder for the player you are selling to to figuer out the price of it. People are lazy and most of them don't want to do any math, So they will noramly accept your price and then you just made a easy huge profit. Say you sell for a mask set for 3.4 m and its only worth 3 m people will be fooled into buying it out of their own stupidity and for being lazy. Another reason why sets are good to sell is because its a lot harder to buy a set from someone and normaly they want to buy it all at once, if you are selling thw whole set they will pay more because they don't want to take up all the time to buy piece by piece. Another hint Sell large numbers of what ever you are mechanting because it is much easier to sell large amounts at once and you make a lot of profit. If you just sell small numbers or sell them at different times you make less profit and not as many people want to buy small numbers of what they are buying.
Guide #5 (members)
You will need to be a member for this guide. It is extremly easy to do and you make a lot of money. Go to Al-Kharid to that palace place. When you get there you will see Al-Kharid warriors, fight them. Kill a few and you will notic that they drop A LOT of hebs. Do not ID them because if they aren't IDed players can't tell what type they are and will buy them all for a large amount of money. Rather IDing them and getting mostly guam leaves, or other hebs that no one would buy. Stay there for a long time and get a large number of herbs. Bank them and as soon as you have 50 you already have about 100k! I would say to get about 500 then you have 1 mill! Sell them for around 2k each, I'm pretty sure thats the price.
FORTH MONEY MAKING GUIDE
Background
Any amount of money can be made by buying and reselling, its how most buisness's in real life function today. Why do we ship factories over to poor countrys? So we can buy for cheap and sell for more.
Step One: The money
Too make money, you must have money. 10k will be needed for your first step. You can get this money quickly by mining gold or iron, which relativly sells for cheap but in mass stock sells for high prices.
Step Two: The Buying
With that 10k you'll need to buy "Coal," (Coal is usually gathered through tedious and strainious work at the mines). Too buy coal for cheap, either goto the dwarven mines and buy it for 30gold each from "Drogo Dwarf," or stay in the mines near the coal rocks and spam to hell "Buying coal 100gp each." If you do this correctly and dont spend over 100gp each, you should have about 100 coal.
Step Three: The reselling
Take the coal up to fally at the bank and yell "Selling coal 150gp each," or 180 depending on how bad you make money.
This process should take you maybe 20 mins
You could make this!!!
10,000/100=100*150= 15,000gp (20 mins)
15,000/100=150*150= 22,500gp (40 mins)
22,500/100=225*150= 33,750gp (1 hour)
33,750/100=337*150= 50,550gp (1:20 mins)
50,550/100=505*150= 75,750gp (1:40 mins)
75,750/100=757*150= 113,550gp (2 hours)
2 hours and over 100k.
In 5 hours over a mill!
