I think a girl needs the whole package. Pretty face. nice body, smart, well spoken, sweet personality, kind to other girls, respectful, good role model for others in every way, shows humbleness and sweetness on stage when others win and she does not, Poise, and acts kind to other winners and congratulates them even when she doesn't win. Watch some of the gils in all pageants when they don't win. They need someone to teach them how to act when they dont win. I'm sure others could add to my list, things I've missed
