I am an outsider looking in, not an insider looking out, but I get info from people who are in the loop and always know who will win in advance. I said that a former Miss Teen USA contestant was the choice to be this year's winner. The director's son, from what I'm told, met a girl at UK and she was told she WOULD win if she would enter. She did not enter though. The second choice was a girl who supported Tara at USA and Universe, and she WAS there. She was the pick to win and I was told she knew she was the pick to win and she would have won except for one small problem. A Miss Universe staff member was there and suddenly, things had to be more on the up and up. The Director has told people that she is close to that she dislikes the winner and I doubt the winner will get very much support. The Director was obviously disgusted, according to people who know her and were at the pageant, by the win. So for you with the smart ass comment, here I am, and I'll tell you next year about who's gonna win just before the pageant. Michelle and Amy Smith were both on my list of contestants on the "black list" who would not be allowed to win and both made top 5, but only because MUO was sitting there in the audience.

Also, complaining to Miss Universe about the winner will get you nowhere, but complaining about the way you were treated will. Complaining to state government about the pageant will get you nowhere, but complaining about the fairness will. If it were proven that the pageant was rigged, it IS illegal. The law that applies is the same one that would make selling raffle tickets with a pre-determined outcome illegal. If you found judges that would swear it was fixed, and from what I'm told you can go back to 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 to find them, you would have a case. The best person to contact is Krista Harper about her last year judging.

For the record, I'm a MAO fan, not a USA fan, so I have nothing to lose or gain from whatever becomes of the pageant.
