My lovely Wilma smoked a cigarette and then came over to give me a smoke-laden wakeup kiss. Last night signalled the arrival of new kids. If you are taking summer courses and plan to stay at the college in the fall, you must go through orientation, unless you are still in high school.
That largely sends us battle-hardened veterans for this orientation. Most have been to another college, which was probably an experience.
Wilma's roommate is the greenest kid you can find. She was home-schooled and has not turned 18. Being thrown into the real world mix seems to have her scared.
There were a lot of different people in the smoking area last night but it was a lot the same. One girl is giong to attempt to redeem herself scholastically. As soon as her mother left, she lit a cigarette. Another said she knew the feeling. The girl smoking offered the other one a cigarette. The other is in about the same situation.
The one who dared to bring cigarettes but waited for her mom to exit, is named Rose. The one without cigarettes cigarettes is named Linda. Greenpea is named Gwendolyn. We already call her Gwen.
At least Gwen knows to keep her mouth shut. Penny is anti and she's been to college for a year. Imagine a girl making D's in religion.
New group. Same old story. Not really. I started my freshman year going with a girl at another college. She left me but I had found Wilma. I got the best part of that trade.
