Hello Cathy. Ted, where have you been. I know Joe Camel will be posting now that I've posted. Hope all are enjoying their vacations or whatever.
Suzy, who returned to smoking last week at our breakfast in order to lose weight, may be in need of new outfits soon. She may have dropped 10 pounds in the week. She had a lot to loose but is off to a good start.
She may already be back to her old pack a day smoking habit. Nobody knew Suzy when she smoked or was thin. Her weight coach but not assisting her in smoking, Fran, came. Naturally someone offered her a cigarette which she rejected, saying she has never smoked in her first 40 years and does not plan to smoke in the next 40.
"Famous last words," said Anita bumming a cigarette from
Claudia, the executive secretary, who had her very first cigarette at our breakfast. Claudia offered one to Blanche who has not accepted.
Anita said a person can smoke but not get the habit.
"My daughter does that very well," Fran said. "If I took a cigartte, I would be pack a day smoker in a week," she said.
"It's not that fast," Marci said. "First, you have to learn how to inhale." Marci graduated from high school with Fran's daughter. Marci came to work here, fell in with Diane, another recent high school grad, and took up smoking.
Marci said Fran and her daughter look like the girls next door. "Like us," said Evelyn as she and her older sister, Shiela, snapped off inhales.
Fran said she heard smokers came out of the woodwork for the breakfast but she was not ready to do that.
"Start with your daughter," Marci advised. "Then when you like it, show us."
Anyway, it was another great breakfast.
