I want to thank Cathy and Brenda for congratulating me on my home purchase. I also need to address comments on my post yesterday and even what a granddaughter is saying about her mother.
Cathy, sorry if my tale is too complicated. I guess is complicated and that's why it sounds complicated.
Brenda, you said "Sounds like your daughter is branching out with her smoking."
Today, my 20-year-old granddaughters were helping me move into my house. They each will move into one of the 3 bedrooms.
Emily got a boy, complete with pickup, to help with the moving. Whitney and I were smoking and the boy asked Emily if she smoked.
She said no but that her mother had taken up smoking at the age of 42 and is trying to get her to start. The boy had more of a "hats off to mom" look than "that's terrible."
I know Barb has smoked with me and did smoke yesterday at a college hangout. She also let Emily drink beer while at a college hangout. Emily and Whitney are 20 but Whitney is the daughter of a son not present so she did not have a parent to allow her to drink beer.
I think Emily is being a little unfair. Time will tell how much her mother adopts smoking. Time will tell if Emily was just trying to test this boy's reaction. Whatever, he and his pickup were a big help in moving in.
