My son Keith and new wife Judy stopped off for lunch at Karen's. Karen is my sister due Aug. 31. Keith and Judy are expecting and are recently married.
Keith is mad at Judy for sharing a cigarette at Karen's house. I'm upset, also.
Judy gave up smoking when she confirmed she was pregnant. Apparently this now goes on at Karen's house. Keith said after lunch, Karen invited all outside. As Karen and daughters sat in one area, Keith said Ashley went to a different area. Her other 2 daughters seemed a little edgy.
Karen told Keith and Joy that all 4 of them have taken up sharing a cigarette a couple of times a day. The is when Karen's husband is gone and outside the house which contains the 3 girls and 4 younger boys. Karen is to have a girl on Aug. 31. That is also Ashley's 16th birthday. Karen's other girls are 14 and 12.
Karen has come as close as holding a lit cigarette but gave it back without puffing. Recently, my sister in law suspected her 15-year old daughter was smoking. Jane wanted if she ever found out, she would smoke also. The highly pregnant said she would too.
From that came a report that Karen and her daughters shared a cigarette in what was thought to be a random thing. Now, I learn that the 4 on a cigarette is a twice daily thing.
Keith and Judy soon go visit her parents and come back later tonight.
